Austria's federal cartel office (BWB) has asked the cartel court at Vienna's appellate court to impose fines totaling 88 mln eur against lift makers Kone Oyj, United Technologies Corp's Otis, Schindler Holding AG, C. Haushahn GmbH and Doppelmayr Aufzuege AG. The BWB believes that the lift industry in Austria colluded to fix prices, allocate projects and share confidential market information from the 1980s to at least 2004. |
