minimum wage/day: 4 US$; An official investigation confirmed that the American fast-food giants McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut, were paying their part-time workers illegal low wages in the south of China. McDonald's paid there its part-time workers 4 yuans hour (less than 52 US cents American), KFC 4,7 yuans and Pizza Hut 5 yuans, whereas the minimum wage is of 7,5 yuans in the capital of the Guangdong province.: China
