On the July 30tht, 2004, the accidental explosion of a gas pipeline with high pressure had caused the death of 24 people and had wounded 132 others of them. The investigators estimate that the work carried out a few months before the accident in the industrial park had degraded the control of Fluxys, which in addition apparently had not been correctly announced to the active contractors on the site.
